(Easy for beginners)

This is a 2 day trip that is great for beginners and inexperienced paddlers. The first day of this two day trip starts at the Dollarville Dam and ends at the Tahquamenon Logging Museum. Paddling time to the Logging Museum campground is only about 2 hours or less, so this allows you to get a lot of leisurely fishing and exploring in along the way. The Museum campsites are on a first come first serve basis, so you may prefer to set up your campsite in advance of the start of your trip - this will ensure that you get your preferred site, and also avoids the need of carrying extra gear with you on this first part of your trip. Your second day on the river will be about a three hour paddle to McPhee's Landing to end your trip. Checkout time is 2pm, so if you leave your campsite up to avoid carrying the extra gear, you must have it taken down by then or you will be charged for another day of camping. See this page to find out more about the Tahquamenon Logging Museum and to make your camping reservations
